Archer's University of Texas Challenge

About Archer's University of Texas Challenge

Archer Hadley challenges each of us bipeds to recognize how un-flat the world really is. Trade your feet for wheels and try to navigate your world from a wheelchair. We will provide the wheelchair and the transformative experience. You bring an open mind, and a willingness to try something amazing. Observers can participate too! We’re raising money and awareness and your donations make all the difference to our success.

A Note from Archer
Thank you for signing up for Archer's Challenge at UT - as a participant or a volunteer. Yay! The Challenge is almost here.

I'll be at the West Mall from 8:00AM to 5:00PM on Wednesday, Oct 18th with 100 wheelchairs. You can pick-up and return your wheelchair at any time between 8:00AM and 5:00PM based on wheelchair availability on a first come basis.

You'll get fitted into a wheelchair by a professional, pick up your goody bag, t-shirt, and hat, and take off in the wheelchair. Attend classes, go to study sessions, roll around campus, have lunch, go to your dorm room. When you are done, return the wheelchair where you started. Take lots of photos or video and share them with #ArchersChallenge.

There is just one rule: be safe. This isn't a ride in an amusement park. You are responsible for your safety.

If you signed up to volunteer, just show up for your time slot and I'll explain everything.

Remember - you are my ambassador when you are in a wheelchair.

Hosted by the Texas Wranglers, Archer's Challenge comes to the University of Texas at Austin at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Students and faculty at UT will attend classes, teach, and get around campus in wheelchairs. Last year over 200 people participated in the sold out inaugural event. The Challenge will start and finish at the West Mall.

Registration is open to all UT students, staff and faculty.
